About this Work Stream
The closed-door side-stream brings together internationally leading SOE experts, policymakers, international institutions, and practitioners (hybrid format with attendance in person in Santa Marta and online) to evaluate an action plan for SOE green growth and decarbonization.
Dr. Christoph Nedopil is Professor and the Lead for APAC Industry Transitions at University of Queensland Business School in Brisbane, Australia. He is also a Visiting Professor at FISF Fudan University, Shanghai, and a Professorial Research Associate at SOAS University of London. Christoph provides advisory to governments, financial institutions, enterprises, and civil society on sustainable development issues. He has authored several reports, including the UNDP SDG Finance Taxonomy, and has published articles in leading journals like Science. Christoph serves as a board director in scaling sustainability in businesses and finance and is regularly quoted in major outlets like Financial Times and The Economist. Previously, he lived and worked in China, the US and Africa with positions at the World Bank, German development agency GIZ, and at leading universities in China.
